Stoneware carafe hand-painted by the artist in her atelier in Venice. It consists of several parts made on a lathe and then assembled by hand in an interplay of asymmetry and balance. A functional object with a minimal and sculptural design, ideal for setting up a refined and unique table, but also to be displayed as a decorative element.
Each piece is unique and may differ slightly in size. The products may show slight variations from the pictures or reveal small imperfections as they are the result of complex craftsmanship.
The carafe may contain liquids inside, hand-washing is recommended.
Michele Hickey Gemin, born and raised in New York and Venetian by adoption, is a ceramist who combines lathe techniques with hand modelling to shape functional objects with minimal, sculptural designs.
