Flesso 2 Vase
Handmade and hand-finished stoneware centrepiece, with a shape generated by casting in complex handmade moulds. Each element is carefully assembled, hand-finished and fired above 1250°C. Its shape suggests a continuous succession of concave and convex, a constant change of direction defined by the alternation of light and shadow grazing or filling its grooves.
Each piece is unique and may differ slightly in size. The products may show slight variations from the pictures or reveal small imperfections as they are the result of complex craftsmanship
The vase can contain water as it has an internal waterproofing treatment.

During her university years, Francesca Verardo cultivated her interest in ceramics and attended various courses with Italian and international ceramists while pursuing her academic studies. She devotes much of her research to the study of surfaces and their changing ability to relate to light.
She claims to be fascinated by ceramics because it is the bearer of knowledge that has evolved over the centuries and in her work she tries to represent the formal and decorative aspects of contemporaneity reinterpreting traditional techniques.
